This year’s Bunessan Show in the Bunessan School grounds was a great success. In spite of a poor weather forecast, the weather stayed mainly dry, and this was the busiest show day for some time. Regular visitors no doubt felt the lack of Mark Wylie and his amazing duck show – Mark sadly passed away last year. However in his stead the committee had managed to engage the ‘Tartan Juggler’, who not only entertained the crowds, but taught a steady stream of children and adults how to juggle and use the diabolo. Show regular ‘Chainsaw Pete’ was also on hand to amaze folk with his skilful chainsaw carpentry. This year his creations included a pair of puffins, an otter, the ever-popular Highland Cow’s head, and a small hedgehog! These were later auctioned off for show funds, with only children being allowed to bid for the hedgehog… more in the printed issue
