Fèis Mhuile 2025

This year’s Fèis weekend was held in Bunessan from 7th-9th February. The event was one of the biggest we’ve hosted in a number of years – with over 60 children participating.
The event caters for all ages with Fèis Bheag for 3- to 7-year-olds, children from P3 upwards being offered two choices of music lessons over the weekend, and there was also an adults singing class. Learners came along from all over the island and beyond – travelling from as far as Glasgow this year!
The weekend started with a cracking informal Ceilidh in the Bunessan Inn on Friday night. It was well attended and we were very spoilt with the music from our tutors. Many thanks to the Bunessan Inn staff for being so accommodating over the weekend – keeping the children fed and watered and providing a venue for some of the classes.
Tutors for the weekend were Ewan MacDonald – Guitar; Iain Cameron – Accordion; Logie Johnston – Chanter/ Bagpipes; Kirsty Wilson & her invaluable assistants – Fèis Bheag; Hannah MacRae – Fiddle; Sileas Sinclair – Keyboard and ClaireFrances MacNeil – Singing… more in the printed issue
