Longest Lambing Journey?

An island crofter clocked up an incredible journey by land and sea on her daily commute to work during the lambing season. Rhoda Munro, a contract shepherdess, travels from her home on Mull, by car, dinghy and RIB boat to the Isle of Gometra twice a day at lambing time. And after her early morning visit to the off-grid island, to check on owner Roc Sandford’s sheep, she journeys back to her croft on Mull to tend to her own flock – before making a second trip to Gometra… more in the printed issue
