Mull at the National Mòd

This October the National Mòd returned to Inverness, as a “hybrid” mòd – much of it virtual and online, but some of it live in Inverness. Many children from both Còisir Òg Mhuile and Comunn Gaidhealeach Mhuile submitted videos of their songs and poems, receiving online adjudications and placings.
Kathryn Dugdale (13) from Tobermory and Holly Maclean (18) from Dervaig were both lucky enough to have face-to-face competitions in Inverness, and brought home a 3rd and 2nd place medal respectively. Holly also won two of the virtual competitions with her submitted videos.
Although there were no adult soloists from Mull this year due to the reduced program, Donna Dugdale and Natalie Livingstone placed third in the duet competition, and the quartet Na Gillean-Brìghde, made up of Donna Dugdale, Alan & Elizabeth Jack and Vic Linnemann, placed second in their competition, sharing the trophy for highest Gaelic marks with the Largs Gaelic Choir Quartet… more in the printed issue
