Mull Rally 2024

Another local winner was recorded on the 2024 Beatson’s Building Supplies Mull Rally – that’s 23 winners from the island in 25 years! It was Paul MacKinnon who ended up on top after the 139 miles of gruelling action, in his Polo R5, navigated by Paul Beaton. But that was only part of the story in an incident-packed event.
There was drama right from the start with Bunessan’s Craig Rutherford having a violent off just a few miles into the first stage, resulting in an early stoppage. Navigator Kerrie MacGillivray required medical assistance but both crew members are now well on the mend. The Friday night leg continued to deliver challenges, with the weather ensuring the event remains the toughest in the country.
