Bunessan Easter Runs

This year’s Bunessan Easter Runs saw a slight increase in participants, due in part to a few folk who were on holiday on Mull, including a fair contingent from Saddleworth Harriers and a large group organised by ex-Bunessan resident Louise Wade. All in there were 22 adults in the main run and 12 in the shorter run, known as the ‘Loopy Run’. The Children’s Run was particularly well supported with 43 children participating in the various age groups. Many of the children were supported by parents who ran alongside, but more often than not, way behind their offspring! Ross Mackie had a fantastic run coming in way ahead of anyone in his age group, Under 8, and way ahead of most in the older age groups. He will be one to watch in the future. Ross received a small trophy and an Easter egg for his effort and was also given a second Easter egg as the first local boy home. The first girl home in the under 8 age group was Neve Graham and the first local girl was Orlaith Palmer… more in the printed issue
