We are all looking forward to the Covid vaccination campaign starting on Mull. Hopefully by the time you read this we will have started on the first priority group of the over 80’s. We have already vaccinated some of the most vulnerable as well as health and social care staff.

This will be one of the biggest public health programmes ever undertaken on the Island and we plan to deliver this at speed as soon vaccines become available.

In total we have over 5000 vaccinations to complete including first and second doses. In the last week in January we will take delivery of our first 200 Astra Zeneca Covid-19 vaccines (enough for all the over 80s on Mull & Iona).

This is a bit later than other areas and has been a little frustrating for all of us. We really can not complain as all the efforts we all have taken on Mull and Iona have paid dividends in the absence of cases on the Island.… more in the full issue
