Disc golf started on Mull in 1992 at Fanmore Croft, and being one of a handful of courses in the UK, over the years Fanmore hosted the Scottish Open, British Open and part of the Euro tour in 2017, when Fanmore held its last event.
After the covid pandemic a friend of mine suggested we go out and play, given it’s not a contact sport. I built my own basket and started plotting out courses everywhere we took it. After some deliberation we thought Aros Park in Tobermory would be the best spot for it, so I started working on Forestry Land Scotland to see if we would be allowed. After some difficulty with insurances we finally got the approval for a 9 hole course within the Aros Park grounds… more in the printed issue
