Easter Runs 2024

This year’s annual Easter Run in Bunessan was a great success, helped along by the weather, which was dry with some sunshine. And a cooling breeze! Runners converged on the Fire station in Bunessan from all over Scotland (Well, Oban and the Borders!), and included some holidaymakers from even further afield, including Leeds. There was a good turnout of Mull runners as well, making a grand total of 17 taking part in the main 10+k race (maybe eleven – who knows!!) and a further 12 running in the loopy run (distance 7+ km)
Winner of the ‘big race’ was Caleb Nonhebel of Tobermory, in a time of 40 minutes 03 seconds. “I would have liked to finish in under 40 minutes” said Caleb after the race “but not having competed in this event before I was just running as fast as I could!” Dougie Brunton of Fionnphort was runner up and 1st local man, while 1st Lady was Nicole O’Brien from Oban, with Louise Vinkalns (nee Wade), originally from Bunessan, close behind her… more in the printed issue
