This year’s Fèis weekend was held in Bunessan from 9th-11th February. The event caters for all ages with Fèis Bheag for 3- to 7-year-olds, children from P3 upwards being offered two choices of music lessons over the weekend and there was also an adults singing class. Learners came along from all over the island and beyond – travelling from as far as Edinburgh this year!
The weekend started with a cracking informal Ceilidh in the Bunessan Inn on Friday night. It was very well attended and we were very spoilt with the music from our tutors. The Bunessan Inn is an integral part of the Fèis. They not only provide accommodation (the tutors were the first customers to try out their excellent refurbished bedrooms) and meals for the tutors but also allow us to use Brodie’s Bar for the singing classes over the course of the weekend… more in the printed issue
