This year’s Fèis weekend was held in Bunessan from 5th-8th February. The event was the biggest we can remember – with 67 children participating.
The event caters for all ages with Fèis Bheag for 3- to 7-year-olds, children from P3 upwards being offered two choices of music lessons over the weekend, and there was also an adults singing class. Learners came along from all over the island and beyond and we’re very grateful to all who go to so much effort to attend.
The weekend started with a cracking informal Ceilidh in the Bunessan Inn on Friday night. It was well attended and we were very spoilt with the music from our tutors. Many thanks to the Bunessan Inn staff for being so accommodating over the weekend – keeping the tutors fed and watered and providing a venue for some of the classes… more in the printed issue
