The International Gathering week for the Clan Maclean culminated with a Gathering at Duart Castle, attended by about 700 Macleans, from Scotland and around the world.
Usually held every five years, the Gathering was postponed from 2022 due to the pandemic.
At Duart, there was a day of festivity with local produce stalls, local makers, dancing, singing, and piping, which started with a Clan March headed by Tobermory High School Pipe band, led by Calum Maclean, personal piper to the Chief.
Sir Lachlan Maclean welcomed clans people to Duart, and thanked them for their support in the restoration of the castle, which is now in the ninth and penultimate phase of work… more in the printed issue
