Mull Choir at the Pan Celtic

The Isle of Mull Gaelic Choir travelled to Carlow, Ireland, the week after Easter this year, to attend and compete at the Pan Celtic International Festival. The five-day annual festival celebrates the music and culture of Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Isle of Man, Brittany and Cornwall, with competitions, workshops, displays, ceilidhs and performances.

Unfortunately, the whole choir wasn’t able to attend, but we were delighted to go over with twenty singers, and entered both the rural choirs mixed competition and the ladies’ competition. We also joined forces with Lochs Gaelic Choir from the Isle of Lewis to compete in the Area Choir competition, under the name of Tional, the Gaelic word for an assembly, or compilation… more in the printed issue
