After three long years, the Mull Provincial Mòd finally returned to Tobermory, bringing together soloists, choirs, fiddlers, pipers and bards, young and old, fluent Gaelic speakers and learners alike. The mòd was all set to go ahead in 2021 but had to be cancelled at the last minute due to an increase in covid cases locally, and so this year the anticipation and excitement was even higher than usual.
Friday saw over 150 children competing as individuals, many in more than one competition, as well as nine action songs and seven junior choirs. The Pre-school action song was won by Bun-sgoil Bhun Easain (Bunessan Primary School), and the Primary Action Song was won by Lochaline Primary School.
