50 years ago on Christmas Eve ’75 a plane took off from Glenforsa airstrip on the Isle of Mull and disappeared. The pilot, Peter Gibbs, was a WWII Spitfire pilot and later a renowned first violin in the London Symphony Orchestra and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
