The Council’s Environment, Development and Infrastructure committee agreed on 19th March that the preferred option for making the B8035 at Gribun safe to re-open would be to scale the rockface at the areas most prone to rockfall.
Members also agreed to recommend to the Policy and Resources Committee that the £500,000 required to conduct this work should be allocated from Crown Estate funding.
This work would take between six and 12 months. While the work is conducted, the road would continue to remain closed for public safety.
