Mull & Morvern Agricultural Society were blessed with a warm sunny day for Salen Show on 10th August, and the crowds duly came out to enjoy it. There was plenty to entertain the wee ones, with a bouncy castle and rodeo bull, and laser clay shooting. An Tobar had also laid on a special attraction in the form of Mark Whitaker’s puppet show – named ‘Festival!’ and based on traditional Chinese theatre.
The sheep judging began bright and early, and the first winner of the day was young Hayley Ronald of Fidden Farm, who repeated her success at the Bunessan Show and won the Young Farmers section with her Blackface gimmer.
