We couldn’t have asked for a better day for the Mull Rugby 7’s; the ‘Most Sociable Sevens in the World’ and now, arguably, the sunniest and swankiest! Picture the scene – the sun is splitting the sky from first sunrise before 5am; our home ground, Garmony, sits in the most picturesque spot, with the ‘Sound of Mull’ pitch overlooking the waters of Mull with the backdrop of Morvern’s rugged beauty, and the ‘Mountains of Mull’ pitch crowned by Mull’s own vast mountainous terrain. Tents are scattered all around the sideline full with excited teams, raring to get their first games underway. The pitch is abuzz early with our ‘Minis’ warming up for their showcase event. The smell of fresh bacon fills the air, as our hardworking kitchen ladies get the breakfasts underway for hungry players to fuel their day... more in the printed issue
